Jeanne Socrates English Sailor who has sailed single handed around the world competing also in the Single Handed Transpac. Jeanne lost her boat off the coast of Mexico in 2008. She is now sailing aboard the new Nereida a Najad 380 looking forward to returning to the West Coast and competeing in the 2010 Single Handed Transpac.

Sharon Sites Adams "The long awaited publishing of Sharon's memoirs has finally come. Her story is called "Pacific Lady". , The First Woman to Sail Solo across the World's Largest Ocean by Sharon Sites Adams with Karen J. Coates. A 1969 "Times", " Woman of the Year" recipient, Mrs. Adams had already done another first. In 1965 she had sailed singlehanded, a smaller boat (Danish Folkboat) from Marina Del Rey to Hawaii, an excursion that took 39 days. In 1969, Mrs. Adams followed up with a single-handed, 75 day journey from Yokohama, Japan to San Diego, California.
