OWSA's mission is to make learning the art of sailing accessible to any woman who wants to learn.

For this reason we keep our annual dues low. It is through the generosity of our donors that we are able to offer programs that present learning opportunities to our members.

Chellie Longmire did all of the canvas on OWSA's first boat, Stardust. When our Martin 242 was donated, Chellie did all of the canvas work so it would be ready for next year's racing season.

Island Sailing Club has generously donated memberships and classes for several years. Their annual donation enables OWSA members to improve skills, gain confidence, and get ASA certified.  Each year four OWSA members are given scholarships through our ISC Program.

Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors

SAMS granted the OWSA BOAT program $1000 with which we purchased lightly used sails for Cal Girls and a new spinnaker for Stardust. We are very grateful to have been chosen as the recipient for this national grant. Thank you to Alison Mazon for recommending us.
