OWSA Women's Race Series
(women only)
This is a special series to give women opportunity to explore the exciting world of racing with an all women crew. This will be excellent preparation for the annual OWSA CYC Womens Race. Registration is $10 per crew member including skipper.
(Mentors are excluded from fee.)
When: (Monday evenings) July 7, 14, 21, 28
Time: First warning signal at 6:30 PM
Entries must be received no later than May 30th. No on-the-water entries will be accepted.
Only skippers need to fill out the OCSA race form.

Sailing Basics (Women Only)
Try an exciting new sport this year! Learn about sailing in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Establish new friendships while gaining a basic understanding of sailing. We offer a convenient evening classroom and interactive practice sessions. Includes Basic Keelboat text by US Sailing. Topics include terminology, points of sail, Right of Way rules, weather/safety, charts/navigation, knots, and more!

Cool Maneuvers (Women Only)
Learn about the skills you need to get the boat out of the marina! This class prepares you for driving a sailboat, setting an anchor, docking, maneuvering, using VHF, and understanding water & wind influences on a boat. Cool Maneuvers is a two evening class. When you've completed class, sign up for the on the water Maneuvering Practical scheduled for Sunday, April 29th. Prerequisite: Any basic sailing class or instructor approval.

Spinnaker Handling (Coed)
This class introduces you to spinnaker handling. It includes terminology, sets, drops, jibes, trimming and sailing angles for both symmetrical and asymmetrical (including cruising) sails. One evening in the classroom, and one evening of actual sail-handling dockside.

Basic Racing Seminar (Coed)
Prepare for the racing season with this co-ed intro to sailboat racing. Topics include rules, tactics, courses, starts and finishes.

Cruising Class (Women Only)
Ever wondered what’s involved in cruising? Come investigate the fundamentals of cruising the river. This interactive class lets you be the student and/or the presenter. Topics vary each year. Then prep your boat and join your comrades on a weekend cruise. Bring your own boat. No boat? Register 3 weeks early and we'll find you a boat.
